Eating a healthy diet should be simple but nutrition news can make your head spin. Let’s clear up the confusion and separate the facts from the hype. Let’s figure out how you put a healthy and delicious meal on the table tonight.

Kate Sherwood, chef at the Center for Science in the Public Interest, will combine what nutritionists know about healthy with what chefs know about delicious. Because eating healthy food that doesn’t taste great is impossible to sustain, and let’s be honest: life’s too short not to enjoy great food. 

So healthy and delicious, practical and easy.  Join Kate for a conversation and a taste of healthy and delicious. Food samples provided! (Space is limited; please register.)

GW Healthy Living at Himmelfarb

As students settle into the demands of the semester, exercise and healthy eating can often slip to the bottom of the list of daily priorities. Himmelfarb staff members want to help keep it in focus with a Healthy Living campaign. The Library will sponsor events and offer Healthy Living kits to support stress reduction, physical fitness, and nutrition and diet.

Relaxation kit: eye pillow, two tennis balls (3 kits available)

Fitness kit: hand weights, resistance band, fitness DVD (2 kits available)

Yoga kit: pair of yoga blocks, yoga mats (2 kits available)

Additional equipment: balance balls (2), double-dutch jump rope, additional set of hand weights, hula hoops (5), yoga mats
