Results of the Fall 2015 Discovery Service Survey
From October 15 to November 15, 2015 Himmelfarb Library surveyed library users to gather information about use of the Library's two discovery services, Health Information @ Himmelfarb and the Library Catalog.
ClinicalKey for Nursing
ClinicalKey for Nursing recently became available from Himmelfarb Library as a replacement for Mosby's Nursing Consult and Mosby's Nursing Skills, both of which were retired by the vendor on December 31, 2015.
Lynda.com Training Now Available for GW Employees
Lynda.com is a web-based training resource that offers video and hands-on training on a variety of topics and skills that can be viewed on a desktop computer or mobile devices. The GW community can access Lynda.com content by going to http://lynda.it.gwu.edu/ and logging in with a GW NetID.
Ready To Submit A Manuscript? Have Your ORCID iD Ready?
On January 7, 2016, seven major scholarly publishers announced that they will begin requiring authors to have an ORCID iD when submitting manuscripts during 2016. The first three publishers to sign onto the initiative were PLOS, eLife, and the Royal Society. AGU, EMBO, Hindawi, IEEE, and Science soon followed.
